## Description and construction

The practical anvil attachment for press #3990-00 is designed to hold hole punches #3231-00 and #3231-17. With this attachment, you’ll take your press to a whole new level. Your punching will be flawless, precise, and most importantly, faster. 

Easy to set up: Place the copper anvil in the bottom of the press, mount the punch holder on top, and tighten the screws with a wrench. Then just screw in the punch in the size you need and you’re ready to go.
Perfectly straight guidance and even pressure: No more crooked holes, just clean openings exactly where you want them. Every piece in a batch looks the same, whether you’re making three belts or thirty collars.
A tool that saves time and nerves: Faster workflow, cleaner results, and a quiet workshop instead of constant hammer blows.

 

Special note: The punches themselves are not included and must be purchased separately. This fixture is designed for use with punches #3231-00 or #3231-17, which are best suited for punching leather. 

If you need to punch our waterproof straps, we recommend using punches #211700STP-6 together with the fixture #21-1700-HMA-set.


## Limits and maintenance

* Water causes corrosion, swelling, mould or other damage. Must be dried immediately after wetting, and even then permanent deterioration is a risk.
* Without surface treatment it will start to rust as soon as it comes into contact with moisture. Rust gradually compromises both function and appearance — surface protection is a necessity.
* To keep the material in good condition and looking good, it needs regular attention — treating, oiling or impregnating. Neglect significantly shortens its lifespan.
* Without a protective surface finish it deteriorates functionally and visually over time. Manifests as colour loss, surface roughening or the formation of rust.
