## Description and construction

Halter buckle, 17–25 mm wide, indispensable component in the manufacture of horse halters. Proven over years of use, the semi-round shape, smooth edges, and recessed prong are safe for the animal and facilitates quick insertion of either webbing or leather strap.

## Limits and maintenance

* Handles typical outdoor conditions without issue — rain, mud, moisture, sweat. No need to dry or treat specially after every water contact.
* Reliably protects the underlying material during typical outdoor use — rain, dew, occasional wetting. May not be sufficient for permanently wet environments.
* Resists daily use even with active dogs. The surface holds its original appearance for a long time, even when in contact with straps, snaps or other hard surfaces.
* Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.
