## Description and construction

Halter buckle, 25–30 mm wide, indispensable component in the manufacture of horse halters. Proven over years of use, the semi-round shape, smooth edges, and recessed prong are safe for the animal and facilitates quick insertion of either webbing or leather strap.

TIP: Brass naturally oxidizes and darkens over time – it’s not a defect, just the metal reacting with air. You can restore its shine with #SITOL300G paste. To prevent darkening, apply the clear lacquer #637005/GLOSSY.


## Limits and maintenance

* The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.
* Resists daily use even with active dogs. The surface holds its original appearance for a long time, even when in contact with straps, snaps or other hard surfaces.
* Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.
