## Description and construction

A die-cast zinc alloy snap hook with a square eye that swivels a full 360°. The straight bar lets a flat leather strap or webbing lie flat across its full width, and the swivel keeps the strap from twisting as you carry the bag. Size it by the strap: the number after the slash in the name is the inside width of the eye, so a 20 mm strap needs a 20 mm eye. You'll most often use it on handbags, bags, cases and keychains; it weighs 18 g.

## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates occasional contact with rain, wet grass or damp hands. Regular soaking accelerates visible wear, so dry the surface after it becomes wet.
* Provides a temporary barrier against moisture. Works well in dry environments, but protection weakens over time with regular contact with water or sweat.
* Suitable for normal everyday use. Traces of wear may gradually appear at exposed points with regular friction or contact with other metal parts.
* At points of regular friction (typically the buckle edge, snap contact point or strap) the finish gradually wears through and the base material shows beneath.
