## Description and construction

The roller girth buckle is designed for the production of girths for horse saddles. It is ideal for applications where smooth tightening of the strap and a less bulky connection at the fastening point are important.

    Roller for easier tightening: The roller supports smoother strap movement during tightening and reduces friction between the material and the buckle.
    Flat profile: The buckle creates a less bulky connection, which is beneficial for girths where overly protruding fastening could be undesirable during use.

TIP: Brass naturally oxidizes and darkens over time – it’s not a defect, just the metal reacting with air. You can restore its shine with #SITOL300G paste. To prevent darkening, apply the clear lacquer #637005/GLOSSY.


## Limits and maintenance

* The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.
* Resists daily use even with active dogs. The surface holds its original appearance for a long time, even when in contact with straps, snaps or other hard surfaces.
* Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.
