This flat leather cord made from vegetable-tanned leather is strong and durable – perfect for making elegant bracelets, necklaces, fashionable handbags, keychains, or decorative straps. Storage tip: Flat leather deserves a dry and dark spot, far from direct sunlight. UV radiation and high heat do not suit it.


## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates contact with water — rain, wet grass, damp hands. With regular soaking the finish ages faster and loses appearance. Better to dry after wetting.
* The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.
* Thin decorative coating that gradually wears through with regular wear and friction. Wear shows fairly quickly at points where buckle or snap contacts the strap, ring or fur.
* Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.
