## Description and construction

MATERIAL NOTICE – FACTORY SECONDS
We are offering this product as factory seconds (2nd quality) at a steep discount due to a mixed material composition. The visible top cap is made of high-quality stainless steel, but the bottom part with the post is made of nickel-plated brass. 

Recommended use: Set the rivet so the stainless steel cap is always on the front (visible) side of your product. Place the bottom (brass) part on the back. If the nickel plating on the bottom part gets scratched or damaged, it might oxidize in a damp environment.

A two-part closed saddler rivet with a super handy bite (a slight indentation at the end of the post) that speeds up the riveting process—especially for belts, collars, and harnesses—and significantly boosts the strength of the joint. The stated price is for the whole pack (1000 pcs)!

For flawless riveting, you need the right tools for both punching the hole and setting the rivet. To make the hole, we recommend the #KEM/LSHP30 rotary punch or the #211700STP-6 hole punches. For setting with the #3990-00 hand press, use the #3997-70 Z dies. If you prefer setting by hand, grab the #8101-70 Z or #RS/6x100 setters. Always make sure to match the die or setter size to your rivet size. You can also find suitable riveting tools in the recommended products below. The right tool will automatically show up for the rivet size you select.

How to choose the right rivet length?

Whether you're riveting webbing, leather, or fabric, the material thickness is what matters most. For a secure set, choose a rivet that is 2–3 mm longer than the total thickness of the materials you are joining. You can find the rivet length under dimension "B" in the table.


## Limits and maintenance

* Wet it, submerge it, leave it in water — fresh water will not harm it. No drying or treatment needed; water does not affect function or appearance.
* Withstands permanent contact with water, moisture and sweat without change. Needs no protective coating and looks and functions the same after months of outdoor use.
* No special care needed. Just rinse with water or wipe with a cloth — that is all.
* Appearance practically does not change over time. Colour, gloss and surface texture remain the same even after months of regular use.
