## Description and construction

Dog ID tag, stainless, with color finish brass plated. Practical, as well as – with this design – luxury accessory, one that should be a part of every quality collar. The tag, 30 mm in diameter, could be stamped or engraved with information that would allow easy identification of the dog. 
   
A component of each tag is a 13-mm diameter, stainless steel key ring, attached to the tag by a small safety ring that is not welded. This safety ring will easily separate, should the dog gets snagged on something. An advantage of this arrangement is lower risk of the dog getting hurt, a disadvantage is higher risk of losing the tag. If necessary, the safety ring can be removed and the tag attached by the key ring directly.
 
Note: We recommend engraving stamps only with a laser.


## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates contact with water — rain, wet grass, damp hands. With regular soaking the finish ages faster and loses appearance. Better to dry after wetting.
* Provides a temporary barrier against moisture. Works well in dry environments, but protection weakens over time with regular contact with water or sweat.
* Thin decorative coating that gradually wears through with regular wear and friction. Wear shows fairly quickly at points where buckle or snap contacts the strap, ring or fur.
* At points of regular friction — typically the buckle edge, snap contact point or strap — the finish gradually wears through and the base material shows beneath.
