## Description and construction

The Kemovan Safety Aluminum Ruler is exactly what your workshop shouldn’t be without. The 12.5 mm high protective profile keeps your knife in check and your fingers completely safe. Choose from two lengths – 30 cm or 45 cm – depending on the materials you work with most.

Safety first: The high profile prevents the knife from slipping, so even when quickly trimming webbing or squaring edges, you won’t risk accidental injuries.
Stays put, even on smooth leather: Thanks to the anti-slip pad, the ruler won’t budge a millimeter. No sliding, no crooked lines.
Aluminum instead of chewed-up plastic: A steel blade won’t bite into the aluminum alloy. Forget jagged edges and ruined plastic or wooden rulers.

Important usage note:
The ruler has two different sides. Remember, the high profile is for safe cutting only. The opposite lower edge with the groove is just for measuring and marking (if you cut on this side, you lose the protection and risk the knife slipping).

Tip for a clean cut:
Add a quality scalpel #3036-00 or knife #3594-00 to your ruler, and don’t forget a self-healing cutting mat with grid #3463-04 to protect both your work surface and your blades. You’ll have the perfect setup for absolutely clean, straight cuts – and, most importantly, peace of mind and safety in your workshop.


## Limits and maintenance

* Wet it, submerge it, leave it in water — fresh water will not harm it. No drying or treatment needed; water does not affect function or appearance.
* Withstands permanent contact with water, moisture and sweat without change. Needs no protective coating and looks and functions the same after months of outdoor use.
* No special care needed. Just rinse with water or wipe with a cloth — that is all.
* Over time slight dulling or minor surface changes may occur. This does not affect function, but is visible on closer inspection.
