## Description and construction

Perfectly smooth belt buckle, a favorite for making leather belts and straps. Lovely finish and a strong prong will keep the material where it belongs. Combined with a quality leather belt, this buckle will guarantee a long lasting product. We recommend combining it with a Chicago screw #SPH-4 BP. 

TIP: Brass naturally oxidizes and darkens over time – it’s not a defect, just the metal reacting with air. You can restore its shine with #SITOL300G paste. To prevent darkening, apply the clear lacquer #637005/GLOSSY.


## Limits and maintenance

* The finish does not increase corrosion resistance. Either the underlying material does not need it, or the finish is purely aesthetic.
* Resists daily use even with active dogs. The surface holds its original appearance for a long time, even when in contact with straps, snaps or other hard surfaces.
* Over time loses its original gloss and the tone changes slightly. This does not affect function, but the surface eventually does not look as fresh as at the start.
