## Description and construction

Too small for a Great Dane, just right for a Chihuahua. Clip this small zinc alloy snap hook, 52 mm long and weighing 11 g, onto a leash or collar for a small dog or puppy, or onto a handbag, bag or key ring. The breaking load is 100 kg. At that load the snap hook gives way, so it is not a figure for everyday pulling. For a big dog that pulls on the leash, choose a larger snap hook with a higher breaking load. You will find the eye width for your strap in the parameters below the description.

## Limits and maintenance

* Tolerates occasional contact with rain, wet grass or damp hands. Regular soaking accelerates visible wear, so dry the surface after it becomes wet.
* Provides a temporary barrier against moisture. Works well in dry environments, but protection weakens over time with regular contact with water or sweat.
* Suitable for normal everyday use. Traces of wear may gradually appear at exposed points with regular friction or contact with other metal parts.
* At points of regular friction (typically the buckle edge, snap contact point or strap) the finish gradually wears through and the base material shows beneath.
